Kuroko-type Deposits of the Misaka-Koma Mountains in the Izu collision zone, central Japan: Their Occurrence and Geological Implications

چکیده
We identified six Kuroko-type deposits in the Izu collision zone, central Japan, which formed as seafloor massive sulfides (SMS) Paleo-Izu Arc before its with Honsh? during middle Miocene. These are found same stratigraphic horizon (~15 Ma) Nishiyatsushiro and Koma groups, between basaltic volcanic sequence of Furusekigawa Formation (or equivalent) hanging-wall mudstone Tokiwa Group equivalent sedimentary unit Group).

Crustal structure in the northwestern part of the Izu collision zone in central Japan
The Izu-Bonin arc (IBA) has been colliding with the Honshu arc since the middle Miocene, which together form the active Izu arc-arc collision zone (ICZ) in central Japan. To understand the entire collisional system, we have used refraction/wide-angle reflection data to model velocity structures of the Honshu arc, northwest of the ICZ. The seismic data indicate that the upper 4-km crust of the H...

The origin of the Bentonite deposits of Tashtab Mountains (Central Iran): Geological, Geochemical, and Stable Isotope evidences
Bentonite deposits of economic interest are widespread in Tashtab Mountains (Khur), east of Isfahan province, Iran. Several bentonite deposits have been developed in this area as a result of Eocene volcanic alteration. These deposits are classified as Khur bentonite horizon. XRD analyses reveal that alteration products consist of Na-montmorillonite, kaolinite, quartz, calcite, and crystobalite....
